River Oaks Pizzeria opens new location in Myrtle Beach

A second location of River Oaks Pizzeria is opening near Market Common in Myrtle Beach.

A Carolina Forest-area pizzeria will add a second location near Market Common.

River Oaks Pizzeria, 154 Sapwood Road, will move to the former Scatori location in the Lowes Foods shopping center, owner Frank Paljusaj said. Paljusaj said he hopes to “bring more fire to the area.”

Scatori’s Pizzeria, 399 South Commons Drive, closed in September, nine months after chef Kevin Levine sold the business. He now runs a food truck in West Virginia, The Sun News reported.

The Carolina Forest pizzeria serves a variety of Italian dishes, including a large selection of pizzas, pastas, meat options and desserts. According to The Sun News, the family-owned business first opened in New York City in 1988.

There is no set opening date, Puljusaj said Monday.
